You are invited to an exciting and beneficial program at WA Young Elementary on Tuesday, September 1 from 5:00-6:00pm in the library. This hour will be packed full of presenters from community agencies that want to help you and your family!
Ask yourself these questions: “Does it seem you’re living pay check to pay check? Does the food in your house disappear before the next grocery trip? Does your check never seem to cover all the bills?” If you answered yes and could use some assistance in these areas you will want to attend this event.
There will be agencies such as Social Services (Food Stamps and Medicaid), Burke United Christian Ministries, The Outreach Center, Vocational Rehab, local churches and me, Amber Lackey, giving you “straight to the point” information about how we can help you.
In years past, with the help of local churches, WAYE has sent home backpacks of food with students each week. Registration forms for this service will be available at this meeting and not sent home with students. I encourage anyone interested in our backpack program to attend this meeting. You must return this completed flyer to me if you plan to attend this event. There are only 30 slots available. Participants will also receive a FREE bag of nonperishable food items at the end of the meeting. Childcare is available. Please call me, 828-584-0632, if you have questions or concerns.
