Hello Wildcat Families!
My name is Tosha Haskins and it is a privilege to serve as the Principal of WA Young Elementary this school year. I’m thankful for this opportunity and I look forward to celebrating with you your students' achievements inside and outside of the classroom.
I have proudly served Burke County Public School students for over 15 years. As a classroom teacher, I taught first, fourth, and fifth grade. As a school administrator, I have been able to serve at multiple schools at the elementary and middle school levels.
I enjoy working with students and I believe all children are gifted and can learn. Our teachers and I are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of all students. We will provide a learning environment that is safe and inclusive and where the social and emotional needs of students are met by putting relationships first. I believe learning is a partnership involving children, teachers, parents, and the community.
